Fidelma has worked extensively across both mainstream and special education settings, including early roles in special classes supporting children with mild and moderate intellectual disabilities and emotional and behavioural needs. She currently holds a national role with the National Council for Special Education (NCSE), where she supports schools in the areas of autism, behaviour, and inclusion.
Fidelma has vast experience supporting and guiding parents of children with autism, ADHD, and a wide range of neurodivergent needs. As a parent of a child with complex autism, she understands first-hand the challenges families face in recognising early developmental differences and accessing support.
She is passionate about early intervention and empowering parents with practical, compassionate strategies to support their child’s development with confidence.
